Job Description:

Electronic Trading Infra (ET Infra) combines software and systems engineering to build and run Bank of America’s Equities Tradeplant.  Our software development focuses on building infrastructure and accelerating work through automation.  Our goal is to make infrastructure and software releases friction-less so Bank of America can iterate rapidly to meet client and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Scale the administration of systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation

  • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, deployment, operation, and refinement.

  • Write code to evolve the automation as the plant tranforms.

Required Skills:

  • Experience working in a UNIX/Linux production environment with hundreds of hosts

  • Experience programming in Perl, Python, Bash or any C derivative (C++, Java)

  • Experience in datastructures & databases (SQL & No SQL)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience automating/administering the operations of a UNIX plant.

  • Experience working in an Equities Tradeplant

  • Experience using standard SDLC tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins et al)

  • Experience programming in kdb/q

Responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Markets environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the corporate systems architecture. Employees work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Employees are expected to have in-depth capital markets product knowledge, and manage a high level of risk. Employees typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience.
