Job Description:

The Transaction Management / Due Diligence (“TMG”) group within Global Banking & Markets (“GBAM”) operates in Westlake Village, CA and is responsible for providing transaction management services, including contract finance and due diligence for the residential Mortgage Finance team. The TMG group supports a variety of products, including Warehouse Lending, Whole Loan Purchase Program, Securitized Products and various types of residential mortgage collateral, while working with a wide array of financial institutions. Examples include, secured asset based financing, opportunistic lending situations, whole loan acquisitions, sales and advisory services.

Job Description

Individual will have a unique opportunity to provide both deal and relationship management support for all three of our product lines within TMG, including:

  • Whole Loan Trading: support Transaction Managers by assisting with the scheduling of, and participation in, introductory and subsequent client phone calls regarding transaction logistics, as well as all issues which arise and their proposed resolutions, including the completion of due diligence and analytical review. Assist in the creation of various legal documentation required to be executed in connection with the transactions, including working with clients and counsel. Ensure the smooth and timely settlement of every transaction,
  • Warehouse Lending: support team by assisting on contract and analytical tasks via coordination with internal Warehouse Lending bankers to obtain, confirm and analyze proposed contractual terms, and in turn, prioritizing, structuring, and communicating terms to external counsel for the drafting of proper documentation, while resolving contract execution impediments and working with internal credit and operational groups to ensure accurate implementation of agreed upon terms and
  • Due Diligence: focuses on the validation of each transaction’s key attributes and assumptions by coordinating the due diligence process in various areas including property valuations, regulatory compliance, collateral review, loan performance and lien validation. Individual will participate in scheduling, arranging, and monitoring the engagement of third party vendors as necessary and subsequent analysis of their results. Assist in the verification and documentation of the due diligence’s findings. Aid in the drafting of the disclosures in the related deal documents. Support vendor management process and post-closing obligations.

Your training and development is our top priority with extensive cross-training and mentoring offered throughout the job. As an Analyst, Associate, or Vice President in TMG, your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the group in all aspects of client (internal and external) coverage and deal execution including coordinating with sales and trading, legal, accounting, finance, middle office, back office, risk partners and investors throughout the transaction;
  • Assisting in the managing of contract negotiations, execution and post-settlement processes;
  • Compiling weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc management, credit and risk reports;
  • Communicating and interacting with client team members and other product areas; and
  • Driving, creating and analyzing asset level collateral data (Microsoft Excel intensive)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Finance or related fields;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word);
  • The ability to work under pressure and responding well in a cross-functional team environment;
  • Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, strategic and creative thinking and distinguished written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as part of a team;
