Consumer Credit Portfolio Strategy Analyst III

Newark, Delaware;

Job Description:

As an analyst in the Credit Policy, Portfolio Management, and Client Data team you will be responsible for delivering key macroeconomic, industry, and internal performance insights critical to responsible growth.  You will analyze and interpret multiple data sources to inform macroeconomic health, industry bench marking, and vendor toolkit (data & scores) and communicate key learning across a broad stakeholder community.  This role supports all Consumer Credit products. 

 

In this role you will be:

·         Accessing and evaluating macroeconomic and industry bench marking data from multiple sources

·         Analyzing and identifying key metrics to aid in determining macroeconomic health, performance indicators, and internal strategy to ensure appropriate balance or risk and reward

·         Organizing and communicating key learning from analysis to senior leadership across multiple business areas

·         Exploring additional vendor tools and data (i.e. alternative data) solutions to understand potential for incremental value in to strategic growth initiatives

·         Supporting emerging cross-portfolio data, modeling, and analytic analyses and insights

·         Interacting and collaborating with a broad stakeholder community

·         Assisting with model and strategy data use incident root cause, impact, and remediation

·         Proactively identifying new ways to measure the bank’s performance and inform improvement opportunities relative to current/projected macroeconomic environment and other industry drivers.

 

Required skills:

       3+ years prior experience in credit risk strategy or similar role.

       Strong analytical, logical reasoning and problem solving skills required.

·         Strong knowledge of statistics, financial acumen and understanding of P&L business drivers

       Ability to use/learn data mining tools including SAS, SQL, and Excel software.

       Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

       Previous credit/risk experience and knowledge of credit policies and procedures.

       Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to drive results. 

       Effective project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads.

 

Desired Skills:

       Bachelor’s degree in business, math, statistics, economics or related discipline

       Familiarity with predictive models including risk-based and forecasting methodologies

       Familiarity with Tableau processing & Visualization

       Familiarity with Python
