Job Description:

Responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Ensures development of team through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development. Develops a technology strategy and ensures technology solutions comply with applicable standards. Advances modern, Agile solution delivery practices and evangelizes great design, engineering and organizational practices. Accountable for team level resource and financial management; builds and maintains teams through talent acquisition. Sets maturity objectives and enables individuals/teams to with training & resources to achieve them. Sets and tracks quality and performance objectives. Facilitates performance and career development of individuals through performance reviews, coaching, and building individual development plans that are needed to develop competencies and skills. Understands individual and team maturity and performance through team/client feedback. Manages relationships with business and technology partners. Accountable for solution delivery as relevant to their teams. Accountable to ensure all relevant risk, financial, and compliance polices and standards are met. Accountable for the application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews). Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain. Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders. Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment, and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers. Leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization. Manages a team.

Role Description

The role of Technology Manager is one of a leadership, management, and overall engineering authority. Must be collaborative, timeline oriented, delivery capable, astute risk and issue resolver. A strong influencer of outcomes across domain, platforms and Solutions.  Able to think abstractly and reduce complex issues and/or solutions to simplified, actionable tasks.  Be able to influence and work at all levels of engagement - from Technology Executives to Technology Consultants.  Must have Cross Domain / Business experience and worked with teams across the globe. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be effective in managing conflicts.  10-12 years defining/establishing large, complex corporate systems

Skills:

Required Skills

  • At least 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, leading, delivering, managing enterprise BPM applications using PEGA 7.1 or later
  • 3+ years’ experience in Agile Scrum methodology
  • Strong proven experience in BPM / Case Management solutions using Pega
  • Certified Lead System Architect or Senior System Architect
  • Excellent Knowledge and Understanding of PRPC Case Management. Strong understanding of PEGA concepts and implementation experience with PEGA connectors, performance tuning, decision trees, listeners, UI design, Integration, Security Model
  • Strong proven experience in handling medium to large size Pega Application development projects by providing solution design & architecture. Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Owns end to end solution architecture and design for a set of applications within the portfolio
  • Ensures development strategies and technology solutions align with the business needs
  • Ensures Design and coding best practices are followed by the entire team
  • Experience with Performance Tuning/Scaling
  • Sound knowledge or experience with Inbound and Outbound Integration via Web Services, Middleware and other interfaces
  • Should be able to provide estimates/sizing for high level requirements (Projects/Epics) with the target architecture road map
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
  • Manage/track team compositions and maintain balance within Agile teams in regards to development resource movements

Desired Skills

  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Demonstrated knowledge of and applicability of Object-Oriented techniques and principles
  • Experience with Infrastructure Setups for large technology implementations
  • Experience in Web based applications with integrations with multiple technologies. Should be able to work with the broader service provider teams to understand the integration/interdependence points and reviews the design
  • Familiar with Release Management and Devops tools and standards
  • Reviews & identifies Tech debt/architectural runway items and comes up with a plan to resolve
