Reporting & Governance Senior Analyst

Job Description:

Market Risk management serves as independent risk oversight of the Firm’s trading activities across the various trading desks and trading portfolios. The Global Market Risk Portfolio Analysis team within Market Risk is responsible for the implementation and management of cross-product processes and analysis to support the Global Markets business and senior Risk management. The Portfolio Analysis groups provides central ownership of some of Market Risk’s most critical processes, including Limits Governance, Stress Testing and CCAR, Global Reporting, and Capital Analysis.

The team is seeking a highly motivated individual to specialize in the Limits Governance process. The candidate will help with all aspects of the process including control adherence and policies, technology, analysis, and production. This high-visibility and fast-paced role will allow the candidate to develop a wide range of technical and soft skills, including communication to senior leaders, influencing across the organization, market-related business knowledge, data management, and process design. The candidate in this role will be responsible for maintaining a strong control environment for the process as well as driving positive change to ensure the program is prepared to operate soundly in the ever changing regulatory environment.

Primary Responsibilities include:
• Perform ongoing reporting, control adherence, and monitoring on the limits process
• Develop proposals for limits on annual and ad hoc basis and coordinate appropriate approval
• Engage with technology to implement new limits and ensure accurate and timely monitoring of those limits
• Provide on-going support for strategic initiatives by performing impact analysis and generating technology requirements
• Liaise with technology and data partners to improve the technology platforms used to manage the processes
• Field extensive ad-hoc questions from regulators, internal senior risk leaders, and audit partners
• Contribute to the development of the global risk team and to the positive work environment

• Extremely high level of attention to detail
• Adept at communication with ability to influence co-workers across our global team and all levels of the organization
• Experience in preparing concise and effective presentations to explain complex analysis and technical items to non-technical audiences
• Ability to aggregate and synthesize complex data from multiple sources
• Intellectually curious with the ability to investigate and develop root cause analysis for issues and propose corresponding process or technology changes
• Effective time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high priority deliverables simultaneously
• Highly motivated individual who fully understands the demands of a market risk professional with ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Desired Job Skills:
• Experience in a related field
• Prior experience with market risk and traded products
• Experience with Python, SQL, or other similar languages
• Experience with regulatory reporting, regulatory exams, and audit
