Vice President, Business Development Officer, International Asset Finance

Job Description:

Global Leasing is the specialist leasing and asset finance division of Bank of America. It is a global market leader comprising a USD 69 billion book and nearly 1,000 associates. Within this division, International Asset Finance provides finance to local and multinational corporate clients for large ticket assets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. In EMEA, the division targets clients across 19 countries in the existing Global Corporate & Investment Banking footprint. The core product set includes secured term loans, finance leases, operating leases and structured leases for clients operating primarily in the marine, manufacturing, transportation, mining, and energy & power sectors.

Essential Functions:

This position supports the growth of the International Asset Finance division. The primary responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Support complex transactions identified by Originations including marketing research, pricing requests, residual requests, deal screening, pitch books, proposals, term sheets and other sales related activities;

  • Handle all aspects of a client relationship. This includes the end to end processes for smaller or less complex transactions, as well as client relationship aspects post mandate award on larger and complex transactions;

  • Support distribution activities undertaken by Syndications including preparation of teasers, information memorandums, answering investor questions and other distribution related activities;

  • Support the Managing Director and Head of International Asset Finance – EMEA in respect of strategic initiatives, market & industry research, business planning, performance tracking and management presentations & reporting;

  • Work closely alongside Leasing support functions including Credit, Risk, Transaction Management, Pricing, Equipment Management, Post Deal Management, Legal and Operations.

  • Build relationships with Corporate Banking partners and other associates from across the franchise

       

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Undergraduate or post graduate degree in business, economics, accounting or finance;

  • Minimum of 5-years professional experience in Leasing, Asset Finance or Corporate Banking;

  • Accustomed to working in a transaction based environment with demanding deadlines;

  • Strong knowledge of corporate banking processes and credit products including loans, leases and swaps;

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Bloomberg;

  • Client relationship development, negotiation and transaction execution skills;

  • High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, excellent time management skills;

  • Ability to interact with senior management in a consultative manner

  • Working with multiple stakeholders and managing conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Self-starter with a proactive nature, able to independently manage projects/workflows effectively with limited guidance from senior management;

  • Knowledge of the Transportation Sector including Marine would be an advantage;

  • Availability to travel as required.

  • Bilingual English / German. Additional languages would be an advantage.
