Essential Functions:

Sales leadership position responsible for executing the strategic mandate to grow a retail vendor finance business within Global Vendor Finance (“GVF”), a division of Bank of America Global Leasing:

• Build and manage a specialized team of program management professionals to manage GVF’s portfolio of existing and newly originated retail programs.
• Originate new retail vendor programs in conjunction with GVF’s Originations team.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of stakeholders to position GVF’s platform to support an efficient and scalable retail vendor finance business.

Target client base is companies with revenues of $500 million and up across a number of industry segments including technology, transportation, construction, material handling, machine tools and healthcare. Target programs will produce annual volume of $10 million and up, with typical transaction sizes of $150K and up. Responsible for achieving line of business performance metrics (including volume, fees, spreads), establishing efficient and scalable processes and procedures, aligning resources to execute on the business strategy and leveraging the Bank of America franchise.

Preferred Education:

Undergraduate degree – Economics, Accounting, Finance, Math or Business concentration; MBA preferred

Preferred Prior Work Experience: 

10+ years of experience within the equipment finance industry, including 5+ years of managing high-performing client-facing teams.  Proven experience in relationship management, credit, legal/contracts, finance, accounting, pricing and documentation preferred.

Preferred/Desired Skills:

• Deep expertise and experience in retail vendor finance, preferably within a large, regulated financial institution
• Disposition and mindset to lead a methodical, multi-year process to build a business
• Proven leadership skills, including ability to effectively communicate and motivate sales teams
• Ability to recruit and develop industry-best sales talent
• Team-oriented leader with an ability to build collaborative relationships with all stakeholders – direct reports, peers, senior leaders and clients
• Versatile talent who can succeed in a range of management roles, and who has the capacity to grow into larger leadership roles
• Expertise in credit, legal/contracts, structuring, finance, accounting, pricing and documentation
• In-depth industry and market knowledge including competitive environment, economic conditions, client behavior and market trends
• Comprehensive understanding of the current regulatory environment, and ability to operate in a compliant manner
• 25-50% travel
