
Job Description:
BofA Securities’ Scientific Implementation team sits within the Data and Innovation Group. This global team comprises of Ph.D. trained professionals developing scientifically informed solutions for portfolio managers, asset allocators, traders, and risk managers across asset classes. Scientific Implementation’s success and impact can be attributed to a diverse range of expertise across the team, from macro finance to applied mathematics and machine learning. Along with the Data and Innovation Group’s unique data and computation infrastructure, the team are able to draw on the strength of the overall Bank of America platform. Close ties have been built and maintained with the academic community, enabling the exchange of ideas between academics and practitioners through leading publications such as Scientific Insights; and BofA Securities Global Quant Conferences across the world’s largest financial centres.
Quantitative Analysts in the Team work on diverse projects aiming at developing systematic investment rules, understanding the interaction between liquidity, investment performance, and risk as well as develop innovative quantitative solutions making use of the bank’s resources across different teams and departments. They work independently or as part of teams and take a leading role in generating new project ideas and initiatives. Active engagement in the communication and promotion of the group’s work is a further integral part of the role.
