Seeking MD or seasoned Director to join the FICC E-Trading and Market Structure team. This horizontal team works with and across all FICC lines of business and its clients, as well as with functional partners including technology, quants, risk, legal etc. The team is responsible for driving electronic trading product development, as well as FICC transaction data strategy (in conjunction with other partners). This leadership role will identify opportunities, set strategy and manage implementation of strategic initiatives. Candidate must excel in data analysis and presentation to senior audiences by demonstrating capacity to distill information, with clear understanding of implications to clients, the franchise, and markets. This role will include day-to-day management responsibilities, including leading weekly team meetings, monitoring progress and coaching individual team members to maximize their effectiveness and career development. Candidate should have existing familiarity with Fixed Income products, trading protocols, electronic execution and data initiatives, and the competitive landscape. Depth of Markets experience in one non-corporates bond business, with interest and aptitude to learn other bond and swaps businesses, is highly desired.
Electronification and Efficiency Responsibilities: Candidate will identify and implement new opportunities across the organization to increase efficiency, client service, and franchise performance with individual lines of business as well as cross-FICC. Candidate will be responsible for devising overarching electronification roadmaps for businesses, working closely with desk heads and technology partners. Candidates must possess strong aptitude to engage directly with trading, sales, institutional clients, technologists, and quants to determine business impact and prioritization. Candidate will also assist in identifying external partners that align with business objectives.
Data Responsibilities: Candidate will manage the continued development of a FICC MIS database, and further applications of FICC trade and inquiry data. Candidate will oversee the teams’ deliverables utilizing this data, including: addition of new data sets, supervision of data validation, and development of visualizations. An important aspect of this role is to help prioritize work, remediate any issues and remove roadblocks with all business and support partners. Candidate will also drive exploration and vision for future data applications, in collaboration with other teams at the firm.
