Here in our Dublin office we are looking to recruit for a Python Engineer to join within the Market Risk Technology space. The role will entail working on the key systems that provision data for the Bank of America Market Risk function.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements

  • Responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals

  • Codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces

  • Individual contributor to a team

The Market Risk Technology organisation is underpinned by cutting edge tools, processes and subject matter expertise. The team operates in a technically complex, fast changing and dynamic environment with an excellent culture of growth, learning and development.

Core Skills:

  • Proven programming ability in one or more industry standard languages, preferably Python, with OO programming & design patterns

  • Proven database development experience, preferably with DB2 or SQL Server/Sybase/Oracle experience.

  • Experience in developing high performance server-side applications dealing with very large volumes of data

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem solving skills

  • Experienced working on large enterprise-level projects

Preferred:

  • Investment Banking Domain experience – Risk and/or product knowledge would be an advantage.

  • Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum team
