Operations Project Manager

Enterprise Overview:

Manages projects limited in scope to LOB products, processes or functions although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Serves as secondary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives and provides assistance to staff. Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Accountable for initiatives limited in scope to department products, processes or functions although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed. Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Responsible for Clarity and PCM updates and project documents. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Typically 3+ plus years of project management support experience.

As a part of the GTS External mandates program, there is a requirement to be compliant with annual Swift changes, adhere to Swift formats across enterprise wide applications.
The role advertised is for a Project Manager to work with various stakeholders across concerned Payments Operations and Technology teams to manage the implementation of this external mandate.

Responsibilities:

Produce Project Charter and adherence to disciplined project routines
Establish governance and protocol framework – meetings, governance, project teams roles and responsibilities
Drive requirements gathering, documentation
Ensure traceability matrix is initiated and tracked throughout the program
Develop communications and awareness plan across all stakeholders
Adherence to change/Enterprise standards which includes
Tollgate prep and submissions / approvals
Completion of necessary project artefacts
Change controls, scope and financials
Updates into PPRT
Completion of Permit to Build, Operate and Send

Requirements:

10 years of project management experience with a successful track record delivering projects at a large financial institution
Ability to prioritize workload effectively and work methodically to tight deadlines
Ability to perform to a high standard under pressure
Maturity to take accountability and ownership of procedures
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely fashion following established guidelines
Self-motivated and proactive
Proven team player
Excellent verbal and communications skills. Provide clear, concise direction to the broader team while delivering comprehensive status to senior executives, project champions and Portfolio Delivery Leads
The candidate will have a love for problem solving, great partnership and communication skills, deep operational subject matter expertise, and the ability to envision, communicate and execute strategic planning and remediation of issues impacting the Global Payments portfolio.
