Position Summary

Wealth Management Trading & Operations Technology is seeking a driven, talented and eager Development Lead to work closely with our leadership team to gather information, synthesize business and technical concepts and build APIs based on these requirements and business needs. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely creation, revision, organization and preparation of material for designing, building and testing complex features compliant with company standards. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional developer/tester with good knowledge of banking processes and exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others and possess strong analytical skills.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions.

  • Modernize and transform existing applications according to enterprise defined technology stack and standards.

  • Develop solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and agile.

  • Build the Solution Right.

  • Design, develop and be accountable for feature delivery.

  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.

  • Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.

  • Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level.

  • Act as a liaison for production activities/issues.

  • Investigate and recommend best practices and process improvements.

  • Work Planning and Execution.

  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Guide the team on work breakdown and execution.

  • Team Mentorship.

  • Play a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team.

  • Guide team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices.

  • Identify skill and role gaps, and work with Technology Manager to address them.

  • Work with Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans where required.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years’ experience in .Net technologies.

  • Supports End to End Technology for middleware programs and projects in a formal Scrum delivery model. Core technologies include full stack .Net development, MS SQL and MuleSoft.

  • Partners with Product Owner, Business Stakeholders, Impacted System Owners and Solution Implementation Teams to define requirements for their Scrum Teams’ deliverables.

  • Possesses hands-on experience in project with the ability to manage low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects in a full-scale deployment in a live environment.

  • Assists with technology solution design ensuring the required processes are followed and documentation assets are created to the corporate standard.

  • Manages to timelines and communicates project status.

  • Should have multiyear experience in working with agile teams and be able to lead all the agile routines and meetings.

  • Strong use of visuals skills, ability to convene points with graphics and illustrations.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in Mulesoft is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of financial services and payment processing.

  • Experience in designing and building micro services and messaging solutions.

  • Should have recent development experience, the role is equally split between leading the team and hands on programming.

  • Lead a SCRUM team of 5-7 developers to design and develop scalable and resilient systems.

  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences and simply complex information.
