Here in our Chester office we are looking for a Treasury Data Management (TDM) who will be responsible for ensuring data is timely, accurate and complete with respect to Bank of America’s Treasury Function’s needs and use cases.

The Team

The TDM Banking Products team supports Treasury users of retail and wholesale loans, credit cards, auto loans, and deposits data.  The primary focus of the team is to ensure the data consumed by the key Treasury LOB functions (Enterprise Capital Management, Global Liquidity Management, Balance Sheet Management, FTP, and SALM) is fit for purpose for the given use cases (e.g. US/DA LCR, etc.), and that internal Data Management processes properly adhere to Enterprise Data Management Standards.

Role Description

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise for Banking Products - Analyze Loans and Deposits data from upstream providers to ensure the base data is accurate, complete, and ‘fit for use’ in critical Regulatory reports (e.g. DA LCR, NFSR etc.) spanning across multiple Treasury functions.

  • Provide in depth explanations for material differences in the month end legal entity reconciliations performed between the Treasury ADS (Atlas) and the general ledger/golden sources. Present this to stakeholders as part of the month end close process.

  • Develop knowledge of EMEA legal entities and general ledgers and become SME.

  • Control Banking Products data consumed by Treasury, including investigating and developing remediation plans for data quality issues.

  • Interface with business partners on their data needs – primarily the EMEA based Liquidity Reporting team - requirements for new data requests, track and prioritize changes.

  • Perform root-cause analyses, gather and document Treasury LOB business requirements, and partner with data providers and technology teams to test/approve data fixes, enhancements and upstream migrations impacting the Treasury data supply chain.

  • Continuously refine output of Value Added Process/Transformation to improve accuracy.

  • Create SQL scripts and conduct user acceptance testing on new data requests.

  • Support Treasury Data Management Enterprise Data Incident Management process.

  • Collaborate across stakeholders including business reporting, product-specific data stewards, tech partners, upstream data providers/data management, and risk/compliance.

  • Identify, review, and evaluate potential upstream systems to determine data sourcing strategy.

  • Follow the proper risk disciplines and proactively escalate as needed.

  • Adhere to Enterprise Data Management Standards and Risk Data Aggregation requirements.

  • Collaborate and build relationships with business partners (Technology, Governance, Control etc.) with emphasis on EMEA Teams.

  • Gather and present evidence in response to regulatory (FRB, OCC, etc.) and internal (EDM, Ops Risk, Internal Audit) exam requests.

  • Represent Banking Products Team and commence review of controls, Banking Products issue investigation and data requests, engaging with EMEA teams.

  • Coordinate with International Teams regarding issue resolution and engage in formal handover process.

  • Identify and analyze process efficiencies and own delivery of solution.

Core Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field and 2 to 6 years of data analysis and product expertise within the financial industry.

  • Familiarity with transactional databases.

  • Good problem solving, analytical and reasoning skills, attention to detail, and an ability to “connect the dots”.

  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and work in a flexible environment.

  • Ability to think and act independently, detailed oriented and organized.

  • Data Management experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a matrixed organization.

  • Ability to convey ideas with impact, with the appropriate details for the intended audience.

  • Time management and ability to meet SLAs and deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Bank of America, Treasury or Middle Office experience a plus.

  • Experience with Banking Products data and related Bank of America platforms.

  • Exposure to Agile methodology.

  • Proficient with relevant technologies and tools (e.g. SQL, Toad, Advanced Excel, Quartz, Alteryx, Tableau).

  • Working knowledge of Wholesale and Retail Loans and/or Deposits.

  • Data Management and/or relevant Technology experience, including a fundamental understanding of EDM Standards and the Risk Framework.
