Financial Solutions Advisor - Participant Services (Series 7 Required)

Job Description

The Participant Services Team is made up of Financial Solutions Advisors (FSA) who provide service to active and separated Merrill Lynch 401k and Equity Plan Participants. They assist in educating 401k plan employees on transition services and retirement readiness. They also conduct initial goal assessments to help clients confirm their life priorities and financial needs

•               Further strengthen participant relationships by anticipating needs, exceeding service expectations and following through on commitments

•               Demonstrate knowledge of investments and financial markets and apply key principles appropriately to the individual client's investment needs

•               Adapt to participant preferences using a conversational style

•               Align enterprise products and services where appropriate

•               Consistently identify participant opportunities and engage key partners as needed

•               Ability to grasp and apply complex technical material quickly

•               Maintain a high level of personal integrity and comply with enterprise policy and procedures

This position is posted as a Band 5 but is flexible to be filled as a Band 6 position.

Required Skills:  "Must" have these skills to be minimally qualified.

Required:

•               Series 7 and Series 66 (or both the 63 & 65) are required; if 66 is not currently held, must be obtained within 90 days

•               Minimum of 1-2+ years financial advisory or investment experience experience

Desired Skills:

•               Capable of effectively operating in a team oriented and highly collaborative environment

•               Successful experience and track record achieving sales goals

•               Extraordinary interpersonal skills, a strong team orientation and resiliency

•               Ability to effectively manage workload

•               Superior client service proficiency including excellent verbal, written, and listening skills

•               Financial services industry experience

•               Strong understanding and ability to communicate the suite of enterprise products and services
