Here in our Dublin office we are looking to recruit for a Global Markets Risk Manager within Legal Entity and Supervisory Coverage. The role will be responsible for monitoring risk positions and for performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of all material positions and risks. They will assess risk, and report these findings to both Risk Management and the business regionally and globally. The individual will be responsible for monitoring and understanding regulations including Internal Model Approach (IMA) requirements.
The Global Risk / Global Markets & Financial Risk organisation is underpinned by cutting edge tools, processes and subject matter expertise. The team operates in a technically complex, fast changing and dynamic environment with an excellent culture of growth, learning and development.
Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for communicating key regulatory risks and provide interpretation, guidance and advice on applicable regulations to the Head of Market Risk.
Tracking the development of regulations and regulatory expectations applicable to Market Risk in the Legal Entity.
Support the Head of Market Risk and provide regular and ad hoc reporting, as required.
The role will interact with key regulators, including the CBI, ECB, FRB and OCC, as well as regulators of individual local branches.
Presentations to governance committees may be required.
Understanding of Legal Entity market risk reporting in light of regulatory requirements.
Provide expertise and guidance on market risk ICAAP submissions.
Provide expertise and guidance on market risk EBA Stress Test submissions.
Coordinate and manage initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
Core Skills / Competencies:
Market Risk or front office experience with a good understanding of key risk metrics such as VaR, Stress testing etc.
Excellent quantitative skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel essential, with VBA highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with regulators, senior management and other areas of the bank understanding the requirements of each group.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise, to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Motivation to deliver in a challenging fast paced environment.
Have a good balance of experience, knowledge, personal and interpersonal competencies.
Understanding of regulatory environment affecting Finance industry and the impact on market risk.
