Senior Web Developer

Senior web developer to implement versatile front-end solutions for applications in Credit e-trading space. The role will involve driving front end development to expand functionalities of existing applications and tailoring new solutions throughout the applications' life cycle. JavaScript, CSS and HTML alongside experience in AngularJS, ReactJS, EmberJS, etc. You must have experience with Isomorphic rendering and client side rendering and be able to provide front-end coding expertise. In Credit E-trading, we work closely with our front office partners, therefore the successful candidate must possess good communication skills.

Responsibilities:  

What:

• Deliver financial trading applications that are quick to build, easy to change, but hard to break.
• Develop UIs that look and feel great regardless of how complex they are or how many prices ticks or rows are on the screen
• Engineer great workflows that put the users’ experience at the center of the design.

How:

• Design and implement scalable UI Architecture that permits independent releases and rollbacks of desktop components.
• Define governance structures for UI teams.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Develop and deploy design guides and languages for UX and UI workflow.
• Strategically develop foundational components for cross team use: message abstractions, form generators, notifications and layouts.
• Pursue a thin client approach to enable future agility (OpenFin).
• Strategically develop nonfunctional requirements for cross team use: security, observability and monitoring, and logging.

Required:

• 5-7 years professional experience developing trading front-end applications
• Corporate bond product knowledge
• Experience with bond trading workflows and terminology
• CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, React, Typescript
• OpenFin, AgGrid
• GIT, Jenkins, Ansible
• GraphQL, gRPC

Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.
