Sr Analyst/Associate- FICC Trading, Real Estate Structured Finance Group

Job Description:

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is seeking an associate for the Real Estate Structured Finance Group in Newport Beach or Los Angeles, CA.  Daily activities include financial modeling of commercial reach estate properties, market research, credit evaluation of financing opportunities and co-managing transaction closings with senior underwriters and originators.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analysis of commercial real estate properties and the markets they are located
• Credit underwriting for CMBS and balance sheet facilities
• Assist in preparing transaction presentations for senior management
• Help facilitate and manage loan closings
• Origination pipeline administration

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate, mortgage brokerage, corporate finance, commercial or investment banking or related field
• Strong financial modeling skills specifically with Microsoft Excel.  Argus a plus
• Strong business writing acumen with experience in creating sales or credit presentations
• Able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires executive thinking and problem solving.
• Must be collaborative and comfortable communicating in a team oriented environment
• Highly motivated and able work independently
