The primary goal of the team is to mature the Bank’s processes and tools to effectively optimize the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilization and disposal of software to ensure software license compliance and optimized the bank’s software portfolio. The role is leading change and improvements within the Intake function, which extracts relevant license and purchase data information to allow for compliance monitoring, provides SME support to sourcing/LOB on license metrics, and implements third party related process improvement opportunities within various associated organizations.

The successful candidate will lead critical operational excellence process and automation changes to simplify and streamline the Intake function within the Software License Monitoring and Compliance (SLiC) organization. The primary goal of the SLiC team is to mature the Bank’s processes and tools to ensure software license compliance to contracts and optimization the software portfolio. The key objective in 2021 is to realign how the software portfolio of 2,500+ products is monitored for contractual compliance based on the products risk profile. This will be achieved through the simplification and automation of existing processes and application of risk frameworks to monitor and measure compliance risks.
• Be a change agent for moving the Intake function forward
• Partners with Intake operations manager to identify issues, gaps, improvement opportunities around intake and onboarding activities and processes (includes additional reporting needs or platform/tool updates)
• Drives focus to simplification and automation of manual processes and manual data entry as well as focus on first time data quality
• Identify and lead major initiatives to drive capacity gains for software analysts
• Strong partnerships with SLiC function leads (Monitoring, Remediation, Platform and Reporting) as well as external technology partners
• Lead planning, requirements, design and implementation discussions for identified gaps or issues
• Ensures solutions are aligned with other initiatives across internal and external functions (ie. Global Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, CIO tech teams, etc.)
• Ensures communication and training plans are included in execution plans as solutions are implemented
• Partners with intake operations manager to update procedures as process and automation changes occur
• Focus on improving and maintaining data quality and integrity through automation and reporting to help internal teammates understand where action is needed within day to day processing
Required Skills:
•    Process design & re-engineering competencies to drive process efficiencies, simplification and automation
•    Strong communication skills (including verbal, written, presentation and active listening) and ability to establish partnerships with external stakeholders
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, interpret, and match data from multiple data sources

•    Proficient with Visio, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Desired Skills:

•    Knowledge of Software Asset Management or Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
•    Knowledge of software compliance tools, specifically Flexera, BMC Discovery, Microsoft CB
•    Managing vendor statement of work and driving high quality execution
•    Knowledge of Product Management lifecycle
•    Knowledge and experience with software contracts negotiation, software sourcing and/or software procurement
•    Ability to read and identify relevant terms and conditions as they relate to the software license compliance.

•    Bachelors degree with 5-7 years experience in a business analyst or technical role
•    Masters degree with 3-5 years experience in a business analyst or technical role
