Position Summary

The Merchant Technology team is seeking a driven and talented Senior Tech Manager to join our team. Responsible for managing technical teams supporting merchant transaction processing including merchant gateways, middleware application development and associated transaction processing schemes. Provides daily management and oversight to application development teams ensuring that features are understood and are delivered within scope, schedule and budget to the delight of our internal partners and clients.  The ideal candidate will be an exceptional and experienced manager within the API, orchestration software in the realm of merchant. payment or transaction processing who exhibits sound business judgment, highly technical, with a proven ability to influence others and who possesses strong analytical skills.

Required Skills/ Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in managing teams including staffing, performance management, and compensation decision-making

  • Strong experience in Java applications

  • Strong experience in areas of Databases and Queuing technologies

  • Experience in micro services architecture

  • Experience in building scalable and highly available application

  • Experience in managing delivery across Banking or Financial services domain

  • Knowledgeable in payments and payment processing

  • Experience in technologies like Kafka & MQ

  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in high intensity situations maintaining attention to detail

  • Experience with Agile

Desired Skills/ Experience

  • Experience in MuleSoft, SDLC, Merchant, payment or transaction processing, payment networks

Accountable for solution delivery management as relevant to their teams e.g. prioritizing tech debt, compliance and security items, and supporting audits. Accountable to ensure all relevant risk, financial, and compliance polices and standards are met. Accountable for the application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews). Creates the technology strategy for their technical domain. Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders. Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment, and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers. Leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization. Manages a team.
