Position Description

The role involves managing New Accounts Department in Chennai branch. It is a critical role to manage client delivery, regulatory requirements and collaborate with key business partners.

The functions managed have a high monetary exposure and risk involving the processing of high value transactions and the candidate must have good operational and regulatory knowledge

Key Responsibilities

  • Review new account opening documents to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure timely and accurate updation of client details and signatory details in Bank’s system
  • Monitor Capital account transactions of Chennai clients and ensure timely reporting as per FEMA guidelines.
  • Serves as a key contact for clients, regulators, and business partners
  • Establishes a continuous process improvement environment
  • Ensure timely and error-free processing
  • Strictly adherence to regulatory guidelines
  • Build a culture and process to identify, mitigate, and control operational risk
  • Satisfactory audits, reviews, exams (internal and regulator driven)
  • Good communication and team management skills

Key Requirements

  • Good operational knowledge in New Accounts
  • Good understanding of FEMA guidelines relating to Capital account transactions
  • Prior experience of 8-12 years in banking industry.

Ability to manage alliances, client relationships, cross functional initiatives and process integration
