Position Description

Incumbent will be part of the team where client implementation, trade support, and regulatory reporting is performed for the Global Markets Operations and Middle Office team for Bank of America Malaysia Berhad. Candidate must also be on hand to offer premium Client service and deal with all Client queries and manage the relationships between our Clients and internal BofA departments. Up to date market knowledge on key initiatives and developments within the client implementation, trade support, regulatory reporting space are essential. Directly interacting with Clients on a daily basis, you will be the main point of contact for clients on all operational issues and will act as Client advocate within BofA to ensure all clients’ needs are met. Incumbent needs to also focus on delivering best practices and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture of post trade date cancel and amends;
  • Capture of all bond transactions within GBS NIS;
  • Regulatory (inputter role) and other reporting to ensure appropriate segregation of duties within the Global Markets Operations team for Bank of America Malaysia Berhad; and
  • Rolle will cover preparation of regulatory reports, two of which are currently experiencing high volumes owing to new business embarked upon by the bank, requiring more manual input & intervention by team. Volumes requiring manual intervention have increased fourfold on the back of the new business.

Individual will directly interact with Front Office, Sales, Risk and Business Supervision for roles 1, 2 and 3 above, and with Regional Management and Senior Management locally on role 4 to ensure that all deliverables are met in a timely manner and accurately.

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to present to an audience. 
  • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment. 
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Candidate will be able to manage own time and know when to escalate. 
  • Previous experience within a client service team with particular focus on DMA and OTC settlement. 
  • Knowledge of Operational Risk, Client Money Protection and Funding
