Job Title: API Feature Lead

Here in our Bromley office we are looking to recruit for an API Technology Feature Lead where the role will be required to work on Enterprise Data Warehouse within the Banking Treasury domain.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as Technical SME (individual contributor) for the Global Treasury Data Provisioning and API Development team working with various Technology and business partners in support of funded Initiative requests

  • Understand the requirements and provide team technical guidance for high level applied architecture

  • Design the high-level solution

  • Ensure the solution considers all of the functional and non-functional requirements

  • Ensure the solution adheres to all Enterprise Architecture Data standards

  • Undertake development of Data Extracts and APIs and associated systems documentation

  • Work closely with both the development and QA Agile team members to provide clarity and direction on design and address any issues arising with high-level design and system integration

Core Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a developer/analyst/designer working with large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouses (preferably Oracle)

  • ETL and API development practical experience

  • A high level of understanding of structured analysis techniques

  • Good knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel)

  • Able to work under pressure, juggle multiple projects, use own initiative and motivation to meet deadlines and set priorities without close supervision

  • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical

  • Excellent spoken and written English, clear oral communication skills

  • Continuous improvement - must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns and opinions directly to management and wider teams

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with Informatica and/or Spark for ETL; Fastpath and/or Mulesoft for API

  • Experience of Pub/Sub, SQL technical skills

  • Experience of working in a Financial Services development environment focusing on Corporate Treasury (Payments, DDA, Liquidity)

  • Experience with Agile / eXtreme/Scrum Programming project methodologies

  • Experience in using DevOps tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins)

  • Experience in working with colleagues in other locations
