Process Overview*

US MLPFS Settlements is segregated into 2 different markets; Domestic & International. US MLPFS settlement team supports Domestic Settlements in US region & International Settlements in Canada/Latin America region across different products like Equities, ADR, and ETF.

Job Description*

  • The India team will support the MLPFS Settlements team to facilitate various securities settlement support services for both domestic and international trades settling within Merrill Lynch Pierce, Fenner & Smith (MLPFS) specific to the following activities:

  • Trade Exceptions

  • Fails Management

  • TBA

  • Factor Coupon

  • Client Services

  • Prepare management reports for the Line of Business

Responsibilities*

  • Affirming of trades

  • MLPRO – Euroclear, FED & Repo Trades (Uploading of trades & instructions).

  • Liaising with Brokers/Client throughout the day on fails.

  • Responding to Adhoc queries from internal and external clients

  • Take additional initiatives apart from daily activities

  • Interact with multiple stakeholders on day to day activities

  • Ensure that all the process documents are up to date including SOP’s, BRP, BPM

  • Preparing MIS & regular reports to senior management & LOB.

  • Drive Change – To identify workflow/systems inefficiencies and come up with new ideas for improvement and share the best practices with the team

  • SPO sending and accepting via DTC.

  • Good knowledge on BUY-ins and risks involved

Requirements*

  • Education: Commerce Graduate

  • Experience Range: 5-8 years in Investment Banking

Foundational skills*

  • Worked in the Capital Markets

  • Should have worked in the US Market domain

  • Settlements Process expertise.

  • SPO sending and accepting via DTC.

Desired skills:

  • Work in an organized manner and ensure all requests /or actions are followed through to completion

  • Ability to prioritize and utilize resources effectively to meet client requirements

  • Confident in interacting with senior internal contacts

  • Change orientated – can identify workflow/systems inefficiencies and come up with new ideas for improvement

Work Timings: Shift Timing: 18:30-03:30 hrs.
