 Process Overview*:

GFI - UAT Team is responsible for functional and automated testing for US Fixed Income Product flows. The team closely works with diverse teams (locally as well as globally) & ensures that any changes to the application flow is duly tested before the same is released in production. The team is required to have an understanding of the fixed income flows and understand the business & testing methodology to ensure that the entire scope of testing is being covered. The team is also responsible for driving and implementing automation initiatives across various processes within COS & SCTO.  

Job Description*:

This is an individual contributor role. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out the complete STLC (Software Test Life Cycle) in on the GSO applications. Apart from good knowledge on testing processes, the incumbent will be expected to have a good grasp on business needs and domain knowledge in securities (equities, fixed income) settlements and reconciliations. The incumbent will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team whose mandate will be to deliver industry leading Front-to-Back process and technology solutions. Acting as a Change agent, he/she will manage a variety of value-driven initiatives at every phase of the project life-cycle. Use his/her knowledge of processes and best practices within technology (application integration / application development), COS/ SCTO Operations, project management to assist in identification, assessment and resolution of complex issues/problems. As a member in the group, he/she will support Global and strategic initiatives and be accountable for driving change and executing successful implementations.

Responsibilities*:

  • Functional testing for US Fixed Income flows

  • Create Automated test scripts as part of regression suite

  • Test management- Create test cases and test summary documents.

  • Track and manage defects along with analyzing data and providing management reporting

  • Must have a team player perspective & be able to communicate confidently

  • Ability to run any assigned projects related to efficiencies gains across COS and SCTO teams

  • Communication skills will be heavily utilized in forming and communicating a change agenda and gaining stakeholder buy-in.

Requirements*

  • Education*: B.TECH/M.B.A/C.A  with domain experience in equities, fixed income settlements and reconciliations

  • Experience Range*: 8-10 years strong experience in test management and functional testing

Foundational skills*:

  • Experience in test management and functional testing

  • Strong domain experience in in equities, fixed income settlements and reconciliations

  • Evaluating and bringing in the efficiency in existing testing process.

  • Participate in meetings/walkthrough session/group meetings.

  • Excellent Communication skills written and verbal

  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines and work in a highly matrixed organization.

  • Stake holder management (internal & external) across regions / functions / lines of business.

Desired skills*:

  • Good knowledge on building excel macros and test automation tools (UFT) will be an added advantage

  • The incumbent should have an aptitude to learn new technologies like python, analytics
