Process Overview*

The FAKC (Finance and Accounting Knowledge Center) was set up in 2007 as a part of the CFO Global Delivery strategy to provide offshore delivery to Line of Business and Enterprise Finance functions. The capabilities hosted include Accounts Payable, General Accounting & Reconciliations, Management Reporting & Analysis, Research & Analytics, Financial Transaction Processing, Finance Systems Support and Supply Chain Management.

Over the years, the scope of FAKC has been expanded to include operations for other enterprise control functions like Human Resources and Risk and Compliance.

Job Description*

TDM Controls team is a horizontal function that executes daily and monthly quality controls to ensure complete and accurate data to downstream data consumers. Also generate reports daily on data quality breaks and data validation shifts outside of BAU thresholds. Work closely with product stewards to perform required updates after upstream changes. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of future Corporate Treasury reconciliations. Work under minimal supervision on Corporate Treasury projects that require creative solutions. The role requires good understanding of the Basel Framework, Counterparty Credit Risk and securitization. The candidate will need to proactively engage with the on-shore change management and technology teams for improving our data quality and assist efforts on feed development / enhancement and overall process design to close the gaps identified.

Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) and works with product Data Stewards to complete manual reconciliations, determine common reconciling items, variance types and gather business requirements for an automated solution.
    Develop processes & queries to confirm application processes are working as per the requirements.
  • Validates data and signs off on reports within test environments to confirm Business Intelligence tool accuracy, functionality and EDM Standards are met.
  • Monitors technical and data issues within Business Intelligence tools and manages issue resolution, insuring that all Data Reconciliation and Data Validation controls are available.
  • Communicates status to stakeholders and escalates issues according to defined process, as needed.
  • Create required processes, controls, documentation and evidence to ensure adherence to EDM Standards and RDA requirements.
  • Responsible for the development, testing and implementation of DQDV (Data Quality, Data Validation) and reconciliation controls
  • Stay afloat on the regulatory changes as per the updates from regulators and their respective changes implementation in various controls and system
  • Coordinate initial escalation and reporting management to address exceptions, threshold breaches and data quality/data gap remediation
  • Partnering with external and internal auditors to drive the soundness and successfully execution of internal control programs
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders at varied levels to align on key objectives and provide data control oversight and proactively escalate and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to applicable regulators and policies
  • Would be required to resource planning for the group

Requirements*

  • Education* - MBA Finance or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience Range* - 10 – 12 years of experience which includes 9+ years of Regulatory reporting & Data Management experience

Mandatory skills*

  • Good understanding and experience of Data Management and Liquidity/ Regulatory reporting exposure
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Experience of working with large data bases
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities
  • Strong decision making ability with ability to work under pressure/demanding requirements
