Job Description:

Responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces. Familiar with development and testing practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance); Analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors; Triages the underlying cause. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Participates, contributes and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes. Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Markets environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the corporate systems architecture. Employees work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Employees are expected to have in-depth capital markets product knowledge, and manage a high level of risk. Employees typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 3-7 years of applicable experience. Job Description:

Successful candidates will work in a variety of areas across the Wholesale Credit Banking Tech (WCBT) teams.  They will be responsible for working on the systems and applications used to manage areas as diverse as Market Risk, Capital Management and General Ledger processing to name just three.  Experiences in the following areas are being sought in:

  • Big Data ecosystems, including Spark, Hadoop/HDFS, Pega
  • Common programming languages, such as .NET, Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Scala, C++
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing development
  • Database technologies, specifically Oracle

Additionally, functional experience required could include:

  • System development Lifecycle methodologies including Agile development practices
  • Assessment, monitoring and provision in the use of test automation tooling, integration and automation strategies
  • Business analysis techniques and project / programmer management best practices

Required Skills:

  • Minimum advanced degree in Software engineering or similar discipline from a leading university
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as .NET, Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Scala, C++
  • Ability to build and manage relationships within a heavily regulated, business critical, enterprise function
