Job Title: Senior Operations Consultant – Guarantees Team

Here in our Bromley Office we have an exciting opportunity for a subject matter expert to be involved in training and transaction approving within a small Guarantees team.
The individual will be taking on a Senior role within the Guarantees team - responsible for the day-to-day authorisation/releasing of transactions across all EMEA branches
Resolution of complex problems and the execution of complex transactions for the various EMEA branches
Functions as the technical expert in the Guarantees Team
Provides work direction, guidance and expertise to less experienced associates and provides training to associates and Business Partners on new and complex transactions
Performing a variety of technical and analytical functions relating to Guarantee and Standbys processing and releasing i.e. Wording reviews, Issuances, Amendments and Closures
Preparing monthly management reports and performing accounts reconciliations
Researching, analysing and timely handling of client enquiries which may require specialised, sensitive and/or exception handling
The Guarantees team is a small, friendly, multilingual, versatile team. There are 8 associates covering the handling of Guarantees across 9 EMEA branches – London, Dublin, Milan, Madrid, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt and Athens.
The entire team operates out of Bromley.
There is opportunity to grow and develop, cross-training on other European branches supported from the Shared Service Centre and wider exposure to Trade Finance products.
Experience in Guarantees or Trade Finance
Ability to accurately handle administrative tasks
Understanding of basic accounting norms and rules
Good communication and time management skills
Ability to work under own initiative in a pressurised, fast paced environment
A team player with flexible approach to daily work schedules
Good attention to detail
Quick and willing learner able to understand and take on additional tasks which may, from time to time, be assigned
Microsoft Office knowledge
Good knowledge and experience of processing / releasing Guarantees and SBLCs
Knowledge of related governing rules - UCP600 and ISP98, URDG758
Language skills in French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish or German
