The developer will be working as part of a global software development team with members in NY, India, and California, so good communication skills are valuable for this role. Additionally the role will involve working frequently to cater to the Front Office, Risk Managers, Quants, and Finance Users who have a primary presence in New York.
Responsible for developing and delivering software to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and is aware of the development practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Understands and utilizes basic architecture components in solution development. Codes solution and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria. Executes automated test suites (integration, regression, performance); collects results and flags issues. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release. Individual contributor.
Day to Day Responsibilities
1. Analysis of Business requirements for Risk calculation gap remediation and address how the risk data is consumable to Market Risk Managers and Desk Reports.
2. Work with Mortgage Risk Team/QSG to reconcile risk numbers
3. Feed all SOFR additional fields to Market Risk System as required and calculate any required derived fields.
4. Work with the Risk Managers, Front Office to validate and refine the feed as needed
Hands on software developer who is comfortable with object oriented programming languages like JAVA, C++, C# etc.
Basic SQL query is good to have.
Good analytical skills, familiarity with Python programming language is good to have.
