Job Description:

Global Markets Operations group searches for an Operations Equities Analyst (Officer Level)

Individual will perform as a contributing member of Operations team to drive end-to-end services and comprehensive financial services solutions for Global Markets. This includes guaranteeing accurate and timely processing, allocation, settlement, confirmation of business transactions and shared services across business and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support to equity trading desk and Investment Bank on allocation, pre-matching and settlement processes;
  • Demonstrate understanding of the equity market, both domestic and international, and clearly articulate client needs;
  • Follows established written procedures and guidelines, provides technical and analytical support in a Global Markets Operations Support function for Equities products;
  • Under general supervision, provides day-to-day account servicing and resolution of routine to moderately complex inquiries and operational requests for accounts and clients;
  • May assist in managing projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products and services and processes coordination across multiple operations functions;
  • Maintain high standards on internal operational and financial controls to ensure risk mitigation protecting the client and the Bank;
  • Identifies, resolves and discovers root causes through research and analysis to provide solutions to basic and moderately complex requests in a timely manner with error free quality;
  • Utilizes expertise to drive results within the established framework of defined processes to resolve complex requests;
  • Exercises judgment and discretion with respect to client relations and problem resolutions.

Core skills and requirements

  • Previous experience with financial services, equity products and Operations area are required;
  • PQO Back Office certificate is mandatory;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related courses desired;
  • Strong Excel skills (VBA programming is a plus);
  • Ability to independently analyze complex issues, identify and execute on practical solutions;
  • Proactively shares information/ideas and consistently identifies best practice;
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills;
  • Must have a combination of strong quantitative/analytical  skills, attention to detail and client focus;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English;
