Senior Java Developer - Reference Data Technology

The job role will involve the development, maintenance and support of the applications with in the Global markets technology environment.  An enterprise wide platform hosts very large
volumes of trade positions and reference data that supports business functions including Credit risk, Margin, Regulatory, compliance, client valuations, treasury and finance.  The candidate is expected to work closely with the Business analysts, business partners and other technology partners to gather requirements and successfully build, test and implement.  The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of various capital markets products such as OTC derivatives, Repos, Finance and loans. 

Qualification and Required Skills:

  • Must have a bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with 6+ years of experience Or Master Degree in computer science with 4+ years of experience in the IT industry.
  • Strong technical background with proven experience in the UI space with Java 8 or later, Websphere 9, JSF, JSTL and Rich Faces.
  • Experience with database technologies required especially, MS SQL Server 2012 or later.
  • Experience working in agile environment with ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements and work independently.

Desired Skills:

  • Python programming will be a plus.

Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the corporate systems architecture. Employees work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Employees are expected to have in-depth capital markets product knowledge, and manage a high level of risk. Employees typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience.
