Sr Data Technology Analyst

Job Description:

Enterprise Data Management Operations (EDMO) serves an integral role to quantify the total data population for the enterprise including a point of view indicating data that resides within the data domain framework and the data outside the data domains.  Using the inventory, lead the correlation of data classifications across the data inventory including privacy classifications, information security classifications, record code/retention alignments, alignment to legal entities, etc.  Support the implementation of complex compliance requirements against the enterprise capabilities.  From privacy requirements, data localization and cross border rules, retention requirements and other network segmentation actions, ensure all data management requirements are part of a planned global framework.

The Senior Data Technology Analyst collects, analyzes, tests and researches data to support the EDMO strategy.  Work product will directly enable critical operations related to Data Privacy laws, Localization laws, and Legal Entity data operations. This position interacts with both technical and non-technical resources to develop and maintain data inventories, reporting, and data classification.  Will provide technical direction and system architecture advice for individual initiatives which will include structured and unstructured data sources.  Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource.  May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software and process solutions. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.  Works independently, with limited direction, and is evaluated through end results and creative solutions.

This position is for a self-starter with leadership qualities, responsible for formulating and managing medium to small-sized projects, as well as assisting in strategy development and roadmaps to deliver high value compliance solutions.

Required Job Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of applicable experience
  • Knowledge of Information Architecture concepts (Metadata, Classification, Data Mapping. Etc.)
  • Proficient in Data Management and Analysis
  • Trustworthy teammate and strong collaborator
  • Strong Office Product skills (Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to manage multiple and mixed priorities
  • Technical experience (SQL Skills)
  • Knowledge of ETL and Data Analytics concepts and tools (i.e. python, R, SSIS, etc.)
  • Strong Communication skills – verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal instruction
  • Process mapping and design
  • Lead and adapt to change and transformation

Desired Job Skills:

  • Knowledge of Reporting tools (Microstrategy, Tableau, eSMART)
  • Knowledge of Data Quality practices and Use Case testing scenarios
  • Knowledge Privacy concepts (i.e. GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Agile project management concepts
  • Knowledge of Information Architecture concepts (Metadata, Classification, Data Mapping. Etc.)
  • Experience working with unstructured data
