Merrill Edge Life Services Relationship Consultant (Series 7 Required)

Job Description:

Merrill Edge Life Services Team (LS) Relationship Consultants guide clients and beneficiaries through making informed financial decisions when inheriting assets. By developing a relationship with the client and being the dedicated point of contact, our Consultants are able to engage clients in goals-based conversations that provide education on inheriting assets while delivering solutions that lead to a promising financial future. Our Consultants are industry and market-aware, demonstrating a strong knowledge of investments and ability to leverage the Bank of America and Merrill model in their interactions with clients. Our Consultants own the entire process and experience for the client or beneficiary, from relationship management to trading to consolidating assets.

Required Skills: "Must" have these skills to be minimally qualified

  • Series 7, and 66 or equivalent (if not currently held, Series 66 must be obtained within 90 days)
  • Passion for excellence and willingness to work to exceed client expectations
  • Strong computer skills with an ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail and high quality work standards
  • Strong time management skills including the ability to prioritize and plan, organize, follow up, problem solve, and effectively manage your own workload
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change in a highly evolving environment
  • Bachelor's degree (business related discipline strongly preferred), or 1-2 years relevant work experience

Enterprise Role Overview:

Financial Solutions Advisors are phone-based licensed representatives that provide prospects and self-directed investors with financial assistance by identifying broader product and service solutions that meet their investment and savings needs. Financial Solutions Advisors demonstrate knowledge of investments and financial markets and apply key principles appropriately to the individual client's investment needs. Additionally, they align Merrill Lynch and Bank of America products and services where appropriate. Licensing requirements are as follows: Series 7, 66 or their equivalent. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
