Tax Executive

Job Description:

The Senior Vice President will provide tax advice and manage tax risk associated with products and services offered by the Global Leasing/Renewable Energy Finance, Sustainable Finance (CASS), Global Corporate and Commercial Banking, Consumer/Business Banking and GTS businesses.  The Senior Vice President will be Team Lead for a team of 3 that review new products and services to evaluate the potential impacts to the Company's tax and accounting positions in all relevant jurisdictions, including considering the tax impact and suitability for potential clients and reviewing disclosures/contractual provisions.  The Senior Vice President will also review and evaluate the impact of any new tax laws, regulations or other authorities that affect existing products and services and work with the relevant business units to implement changes to approvals or guidelines to ensure compliance. The role will also require active participation in industry working groups and initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and possess excellent legal research, writing, presentation and communication skills.
  • CPA or JD required.
  • 10+ years of relevant accounting firm, law firm or financial services corporate tax department experience required. Previous managerial experience preferred. Expertise in taxation of financial transactions and products experience required, and expertise in federal tax credit transaction preferred.
