Sr Data Architect - Evidence Based Data Mapping and Coverage Program Consultant

Job Description:

Experienced senior leader who will drive various technical/analytical efforts in Enterprise Data Management surrounding development and execution of a data driven mapping and coverage strategy to provide ongoing visibility of data flows that can be continuously updated with business and technical information about assets and interdependencies. The role will be dynamic in nature and require the individual to be able to handle diverse work efforts often working in both business and technical arenas. Role is expected to evolve as the organization matures with this leader expected to play an active role to drive that evolution. The role requires a person with curiosity and a passion for inquiry, comfort with ambiguity, and a learning mindset. Self-motivated and flexible, the candidate needs to be adept at both creative and analytical thinking. The position also requires the individual to build and maintain relationships across the enterprise.

Core responsibilities include:

• Partnering to create business cases, manage central planning/status reporting, generate business/technical requirements, drive technical solution development/prototyping and create executive level supporting artifacts

• Providing thought leadership and experience to solve complex technical/data/analytical problems

• Communicating complex concepts/approaches to a variety of audiences in terms that both technical and business resources will respond

• Creating regulatory materials, managing headcount/financials and interacting audit (internal / external)

• Providing critical inputs into established EDM activities (Data POV, DRGC, etc)

• Managing multiple ad hoc efforts (projects, etc) and siai/audit issues from initiation through completion simultaneously

Required Job Skills:

• 10+ Years in Application, Data or Program Management

• Excellent verbal communication and comfortable presenting to a wide variety of audiences with proven experience presenting at an executive level

• Excellent written communication (PowerPoint, etc) with proven experience creating executive level messaging

• Comfort working in dynamic, iterative and evolving situations

• Proven track record of establishing and leading organizations or significant Enterprise Programs/ Processes including history of establishing and delivering against both tactical and strategic goals

• Strong analytical skills including excel skills (vlookup, pivot and other excel analytics features)

• Strong Project Planning/Management

• Comfortable leading and influencing with and without direct authority

• Resourceful/ proactive in situations when not all information is available or there is no apparent “right” answer

• Strong collaborator who is capable of navigating conflict to enable productive solutions

• Excellent attention to detail

Desired Job Skills:

• Technical expertise or exposure to one or more of the following: data visualization, data modeling, statistical analysis, ETL, DB development, SQL, Hadoop, Python, SQL, java, javascript, infrastructure expertise including network monitoring analysis, tracing, discovery, mapping, etc including experience with tools like Net Scout, Tanium, etc

• Strong understanding of database concepts like (views, primary keys, table joins)

• Knowledge of Tableau and/or other reporting tools

• Bank Domain Knowledge

• Experience in Financial and Capacity Planning

• Experience as part of an Audit organization or a deep history of interactions with Audit (Internal and External)

• Process development

• Familiarity with Data Related Laws, Rules, Regulations

• Policy/Governance

• Vendor Management (Consulting and Contractor)

Enterprise Role Overview:

Directs, manages, plans and administers the operational and administrative activities of the Systems Architecture section. Develops, plans and schedules the development, introduction, communication and maintenance of the corporate systems architecture including the applications, data, and infrastructure architectures and assures that this architecture is integrated with the business area architectures and data governance. Assures that the corporate architecture is consistent with disaster recovery plan objectives. Develops reports and presentations on infrastructure products and new technology for all levels of management and technical staff. Coordinates the development of the overall project plans and timetables. Manages budget, monitors progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Provides input on policy issues.
