Job Description:

Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. May consult with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers.

 

Line of Business Description:

As part of the Securities Core Trading Operations (SCTO) Trades Processing and Settlements Team, you will serve as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team whose mandate is to support the organization’s business, project and risk management needs. In the role supporting project  management, you will be responsible for driving enhanced capabilities within SCTO value chain across 250+ associates within the US and Canada. The business management team works closely with the Trades Processing and Settlements Executive , COO Teams, and senior leadership team to deliver on the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and execute on initiatives to streamline business management workflows with focus on enabling overall department strategy;

• Lead initiatives, alongside business management team, related to the goals put forth by senior management;

• Work alongside management team to further develop and implement performance management metrics and developing and owning routines around them;

• Identify inconsistencies and anomalies in data collections so as to evaluate ‘fit for purpose’ and consequently partner with senior management on improvement to data quality.

• Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast and accurate access to metrics.

• Work with operations risk leads to complement existing and new risk measures.

• Partner with the line teams and our continuous improvement team to identify areas of opportunities and project manage self-funded opportunities

Requirements:

• 5+ years of combined experience in market operations, business support, financial management, or project management

Analytical - critically evaluate info gathered from multiple sources, reconcile variances, and present complex data in a clear and logical manner specifically tailored to the audience

• Problem Solving - able to analyze problems, recommend options, and execute solutions

• Proven experience developing requirements, defining processes, and completing documentation

• Organized - strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities

• Communication - verbal and written. The role is required to communicate with many different stakeholders from the SCTO Executive, Ops line managers, and peer organizations

• Teamwork - team player with ability to take initiative/ownership of tasks and partner across the team

• Motivated - have an aptitude to learn quickly under pressure and be self-motivated

• Facilitator - ability to plan and facilitate meetings, prepare communication materials

• Advanced skills with MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
