Job Description

The bank is a recognised leader in Global Transaction Services offering solutions in International Cash & Liquidity Management, Commercial Card and Trade Finance. As an Account Manager (AM), you will be responsible for progressing Global Transaction Services (GTS) opportunities to a select portfolio of Large Cap US TMT Multinational clients.

Platinum Account Managers are responsible for managing the day to day relationship of our key clients with a focus on protecting existing revenues, managing incremental cash management requests and identifying additional opportunities alongside the Treasury Sales Officer (TSO).

The Account Manager will be a key and critical contact point for the client and regularly liaise with internal partners, making sure the client receives premium support from all areas of Global Transaction Services. The AM is responsible for coordinating regular relationship review meetings with the wider team and will look at any process inefficiencies and improvements that would benefit the client.  The focus will be on the existing relationship however given the client base a commercially focused mindset will be important as we look to progress strategic dialogue, position industry initiatives and deliver new ideas to drive revenue.   Both TSO and AM are fully aligned and work as a team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Manage the day to day client relationship in EMEA facing off to multiple touch points across the client organization – Treasury, SSC, AP, AR, payments and product team within the corporate etc.
  • Build trust with the client and expand existing relationship through regular contact
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with our key internal partners and stakeholders to uphold a high standard of client interaction, holding self and partners accountable.  
  • Actively engage in account planning exercises
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities through account analysis & regular client interaction
  • Help client to navigate the bank within GTS and other areas of the bank, manage client escalations and keep internal team informed
  • Proactively inform & advise clients of enhancements/improvements in our capabilities and provide regular market updates
  • Ensure engagement with GTS partners on key initiatives and projects that impact our clients
  • Coordinate and attend relationship reviews with TSO, Fulfilment, Service, Tech and Ops & Corporate Banking partners
  • Protect and grow EMEA revenue
  • Speed time to revenue by clearing roadblocks, liaising with the client  and  monitor revenue on closed deals to ensure revenue realization
  • Perform monthly revenue analysis for all clients in portfolio – manage revenue attrition accordingly & prevent revenue leakage
  • Conduct internal profitability and pricing reviews – take action accordingly
  • Maintain and review pricing/interest rates for clients (pricing changes, new services) and ensure all products and services are billed accordingly
  • Manage additional business requests or modifications to existing client structure
  • Ensure active engagement of deals in implementation and drive revenue ramp up for new business won “mandate to close”
  • Attend complex implementation calls as required - escalate potential roadblocks early
  • Manage all deal stages on Navigator and  ensure deal status is updated regularly
  • Manage Rebids
  • Ensure full observance of and adherence to applicable compliance and other regulatory requirements and guidelines

Required skills

  • 5+ years of work experience in the treasury management field or banking sector
  • GTS experience essential  - Excellent understanding of EMEA cash management products and services
  • Strong and demonstrated client facing skills; able to clearly communicate and influence clients and business partners
  • Customer centric approach balancing risk and profitability
  • Team player and willingness to learn and adapt to the different requirements our clients and the business present every day
  • Ability to grow existing relationships and develop new revenue opportunities
  • Understanding of Risk Framework; Proficient in identifying and managing appropriate risk
  • Ability to identify and escalate potential issues early
  • Numerate with the ability to identify financial issues in product suite
  • Well developed presentational skills to both internal and external clients
  • Holds self and others accountable for results
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of complex clients work in a high pressure, deadline orientated environment
  • Strong prioritization, organizational skills and time management skills
  • FCA regulation and ACT Cert ICM an advantage.  Competence in Microsoft office.
