Role Overview:

The Senior Philanthropic Officer role has the primary responsibility to drive client satisfaction, retention, and growth for existing and newly developed institutional philanthropic relationships. Partners with various GWIM units to deliver client-centric service; trust services; estate settlement services; account opening and account terminations; portfolio management teams both internally and externally; financial advisors; tax department; securities operations; special asset management services; wealth advisory services, sales teams and RFP partners as applicable. Partner with internal Vendor Management for specialty products and platforms. Manages risk through mitigation methods of corporate compliance; OCC audits; corporate audits; Philanthropic Fiduciary Team; internal oversight committee; Office of Chief Fiduciary and legal department advice. Participates in sales calls as needed, offering Philanthropic expertise. Acts as a technical resource to colleagues throughout the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver the highest quality philanthropic stewardship for institutional philanthropy relationships.
Responsible for assisting in new client acquisition and development and managing existing relationships.
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Provide technical guidance and support to Philanthropic Administrators
Effectively manage the most complex accounts/relationships
Responsible for maintaining and communicating current knowledge of developing trends in philanthropy and impact of recent legislation.
Ensure all relationships are managed in accordance with accepted fiduciary principles and   best practices
Ensure compliance with all Policies and Procedures
Ensure highest level of client service; ensure strong risk culture.

Has a foundational understanding of all philanthropic products and services available, as well as knowledge of  product specialties and areas of expertise throughout Philanthropic Solutions
Drives and delivers proactive and superior client service
Exercises sound judgment in decision-making, taking into consideration managing risk and compliance with internal policies and procedures
Applies technology for client service, sales, communications and management of relationships
Client delivery leadership coordination with critical business partners
Strong communication and influence/collaboration skills

Qualifications:

BS/BA is required. Advanced degree or professional designation is a plus. Non-licensed associate.
7+ years of successful experience in philanthropic relationship management.
Technically proficient in philanthropic investments and administration to support client service standards.
Able to work in team environment.
Communicates with presence; listens effectively to demonstrate understanding, and communicates with clarity and conviction to influence thinking
