Description

Bank of America’s Canadian Fixed Income Platform covers the institutional client base across local and global product offerings. The Fixed Income sales team in Canada is an integral part of the platform, connecting institutional clients with various product groups across BofA’s Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities businesses. The Canadian team works closely with our partners in Trading, Financing and Capital Markets to maximize firm-to-firm connectivity and drive revenues.

The Canadian Fixed Income Sales team is currently seeking an Associate or VP with experience in cross-product (rates and credit, with derivative literacy) coverage of Canadian institutional clients to join our Toronto team.

Responsibilities

  • Further develop relationships with our existing institutional client base ensuring a best in class experience with focus on cross-product coverage
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase account connectivity and production in partnership with trading and other product areas across the broader organization
  • Act as a resource for clients and other product areas via clearly communicated ideas and strategies
  • Build a strong knowledge and understanding of the markets and macro economy
  • Ensure all audit, legal and regulatory requirements (AML, KYC) are adhered to, including compliance with all limits

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Fixed Income experience with a focus on rates and credit products
  • Experience marketing / selling financial products with in-depth understanding of Fixed Income products
  • Bachelor’s degree, with demonstrated academic achievement; a concentration in accounting, finance, economics, and/or mathematics is preferred
  • Strong interest in the global capital markets, including understanding the fundamental and technical drivers of the rates and credit markets
  • Demonstrates consistent, exceptional performance and maintains focus on the key factors that drive business results (i.e. revenue, profitability, market share, risk/balance sheet management, etc)
  • Takes personal responsibility for the division’s success and creates long-term value; identifies issues and drives them to resolution
  • Experience working with internal and external clients
  • Must be proactive and demonstrate ownership and initiative taking
  • Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals
  • Strong client facing skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with a focus on maintaining organization in a fast-paced environment
  • Delivers creative and innovative solutions to address client needs
  • Makes sound and timely decisions and quickly selects appropriate actions
  • Strong analytical skills with extensive experience in Microsoft Office, specifically excel
