Position Description

We are seeking a Communications Specialist responsible for helping manage internal and external communications for the bank’s operations across Asia Pacific. This role includes media relations – serving as a point of contact for media related enquiries, proactive promotion of key bank initiatives and issues management – as well as an internal communications element, primarily focused on employee and leadership engagement. This role is also responsible for contributing to and supporting all aspects of the broader regional Communications, Marketing and Corporate Affairs team in Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help actively manage the reputation of the bank’s business in Asia Pacific
  • Help create and execute communication campaigns that help external stakeholders understand the bank’s strengths and business offering
  • Work closely with the regional Communications team on regional initiatives and issues
  • Be a point of contact for local and international media interested in our activities in Asia Pacific
  • Support stakeholders in the successful implementation of leadership and employee engagement plans

Key Requirements

  • Exceptional track record in corporate communications with five-to-eight years’ experience within a multi-national financial services organization or similarly complex organization
  • Understanding of Asian business media with established media relationships
  • Ability to develop and execute a communication plan across multiple countries in Asia
  • Business driven with strong financial acumen - understands sources of revenue, expense and profit, as well as the investment banking industry and its products
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • An enthusiastic self-starter who will ensure programs are completed
  • Be professionally curious.
  • Bring a positive, solution-focused approach to the workplace
