Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Banking Associates are active members of the Australia’s Corporate Banking client coverage team who assist coverage bankers in the delivery of the full breadth of products and services to clients and prospects.

  • Maintain and report client information and coverage strategies
  • Perform statistical and financial analyses of Corporate and FI client base
  • Conduct comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
  • Prepare presentation and other materials for clients
  • Communicate and interact with both core and extended client team members from across the enterprise
  • Manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
  • Work with client managers on a portfolio of Australian corporates and subsidiaries of Global Multi National corporates to assess client needs and strategy and product specialists to structure appropriate product solutions such as credit facilities (working capital, multi-purpose, swinglines), debt capital markets, cash management, trade, supply chain solutions, global markets (currencies and rates), Leasing, Loan syndication.


Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years corporate banking experience with an International Bank
  • Bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic qualifications
  • A track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills,
  • Corporate finance skills and knowledge of rating agency methodologies and financial ratio calculation
  • Credit skills and experience will be highly regarded
  • Attention to detail and client focus
  • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communications skills
  • Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focus
  • Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
  • Problem solving for clients and customer service orientated
  • Dedication to building a career in the corporate banking industry
  • Secondary language skills would be preferable
  • Experience in dealing with European and US corporate clients
