Treasury Sales Officer I

Job Description:


Responsible for coordinating and directing treasury solutions for Business Banking clients & prospects (with sales size of $5MM to $50MM) to include development of new treasury business, expansion of existing business relationships and maintaining current client relationships. Has extensive working capital management product knowledge, demonstrates ability to assess client needs, possesses strong advisory skills, has strong written and oral presentation skills and the ability to identify potential domestic and global solutions to meet client needs. Leads risk assessment associated with potential solutions. Ensures that other client team members are informed of client needs and of the solutions to meet those needs. Leads pricing and negotiation of treasury products to optimize relationship profitability. Communicates client needs to other key partners including product and support partners as appropriate. 


Partner closely with client-facing teammates in Business Banking to consult on sales opportunities and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible solution to the client.  Responsible for working within a client team environment; coordinating and directing strategy and client contact activities for the team in regards to Treasury Solutions.  Daily client contact through both independent and joint calling activities. Supports multiple Relationship Managers within a region.  Responsible for assessing client needs, identifying solutions and evaluating solutions based on cost/benefit analysis. 

Is a strategic advisor leading with working capital solutions, driving payment transformation, and delivering our global capabilities. Ensures client satisfaction by understanding the client's business and being their advocate at the bank.  Influences others, inspiring them to follow his/her lead. Seeks perspectives of others with differing points of view when formulating and selling ideas. Communicates a compelling sense of purpose and direction. Role model and mentor to more junior employees including Treasury Sales Analysts. Builds partnerships and collaborates across teams to achieve sustainable results. Demonstrates and encourages collaboration and teamwork.


  • College Degree with Business related major
  • 3 -5 years of demonstrated success in direct sales roles in a treasury solutions capacity 
  • 3-5 years proven track record of excellent communication and presentation skills, strong organizational, and time management skills.
  • 3 -5 years of treasury experience in Business Banking, Middle Market, or Large Corporate clients
  • Proven Prospecting successCandidate must have a strong strategic sales ability, understanding industry challenges and requirements
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Broad and deep familiarity with treasury management products, services and trends
  • Ability to function effectively under time pressure as an individual contributor
  • Collaborative approach to business in support of close team environment


  • Advisory driven sales acumen
  • Maintains deep understanding of bank's Global Treasury / Working Capital solutions
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of Treasury Trends & Best Practices
  • Able to lead cross functional / interregional teams to successfully deliver client focused solutions Knowledge of traditional Correspondent Banking products as sold to banks (USD clearing, Euro Clearing, FX Payments)
  • Experience working with Canadian banks
