Credit Operations Specialist

Job Description:

  • Ensure that all job processes within Trade Finance Operations are performed timely and accurately as per Service Level Agreement, in accordance to the bank’s internal procedure/policy as well as local regulations;
  • Manage an operations function which typically has high monetary exposure and risk involving the processing of large volumes and regulatory restrictions;
  • Resolve operational issues and coordinates activities and processes within line of business/operations function;
  • Identify, analyze and resolve complex problems related to product lines or functions, using general practices and precedents to resolve;
  • Develop and analyze procedures to enhance unit and/or product-related activity;
  • Ensure that all outstanding items that require follow up actions (AOC, OFAC and etc.) are resolved timely and accurately;
  • Review various production reports (overdraft, exception, past due, reconciliation reports an etc.) promptly;
  • Escalate problems or issues urgently. Prepare internal and external reports as required;
  • Ensure that remediation, process change and/or business process improvement are timely implemented and documented on Desk Top Procedure (DTP);
  • Ensure contingency plans are up-to-date, and tested for effectiveness;
  • Manage operational risk to maximize operational control effectiveness and profitability, while minimizing risk;
  • Proactively identify, debate, address and escalate any deviations/issues on immediate basis;
  • Work closely with business partners on complex transactions by providing professional operational solutions to achieve client satisfaction;
  • Understand local regulatory environment and support various ad-hoc regulatory requirements and inspections

Core skills and requirements

·         Minimum 5+ years of experience in Trade Finance Operations and Management Function;

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills;
  • Effective verbal and written communication; 
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is mandatory;
  • Being comfortable with change and adjust to changing demands and requirements;
  • Strong team player and client focused;
  • Demonstrate energy and drive;
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and creative thinking;
  • Solid managerial skills and good interpersonal skills;
  • Highly accuracy and excellent administration;
