The newly formed Emerging Growth & Regional Coverage business focuses on establishing strategic dialogue and building long-term relationships with U.S. mid-cap companies and sponsors, venture capital and emerging growth companies through localized and dedicated coverage.  We provide strong advisory expertise, capitalizing on powerful mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity product expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions.

Job Description

Our business is seeking experienced Directors to act as key team members servicing the Emerging Growth segment.  Emerging Private Companies which raise significant private capital, are active in middle market M&A and represent the pipeline of public markets financings of the future. These companies span multiple industries, including technology, eCommerce, consumer, fintech, cleantech and biotech.

Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Day-to-day support and coverage of Emerging Private companies
  • Serve as a key resource working closely with senior bankers to proactively generate ideas and solutions to meet client needs
  • Communicate and interact with deal team members across EGRC, Industry and Product groups, GCB, Wealth Management, and clients
  • Be a team player and culture carrier
  • Play a key role in origination, opportunity evaluation and deal execution, working on abroad scope of assignments and products


  • 6-8+ years of experience in Investment Banking with experience in financial services
  • Prior experience covering high growth companies, preferred
  • MBA degree with outstanding academic qualifications preferred
  • Full breadth of strategic advisory and financing experience
  • Professional maturity and experience to interact directly with client and drive origination and execution
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking and distinguished communication skills
  • Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
  • Dedication to building a career in the investment banking industry
