This position is for an experienced hands-on developer who is able to independently translate functional requirements into technical implementations. This is an exciting role in the instrument reference data team (PME), where the candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of technical platforms including Java, Oracle, Scala and RDF.
PME is the firm-wide provider of product (financial security) & pricing reference data, which is critical to 500+ consuming applications spanning multiple lines of business (Global Markets, Global Wealth & Investment Management, etc) from the front office (trading apps, etc) to back office operations and risk systems. PME PME is positioned within the broader Global Markets Reference Data Organization which also includes Party, Client Account and Firm Account reference data.
PME is looking to hire a Senior Application Developer to join the team that is evolving the current software platform from a traditional JAVA/Oracle implementation to a horizontally scalable and high performance platform leveraging cutting edge technologies such as Scala and RDF.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with a great team of individuals working on a cutting edge technology stack and agile delivery teams. Due to the dynamic work environment we expect new joiners to be flexible, self-sufficient with very strong problem solving skills and ability to learn our business, data and technology stack with minimal supervision.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for delivering on a portfolios of projects while working with business and technology teams from across the front office, capital and market risk areas to define input data requirements across a broad set of products ranging from cash securities to listed and OTC derivatives.
