Position Description

The Technology Business Control Specialist will be part of the Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) Business Operations and Control team. You will be responsible for supporting the governance and management of technology risk and controls across Asia Pacific (APAC) region, with a focus on Southeast Asia.

The role will be part of a broader team’s ambition which seeks to ensure APAC GT&O comply with all their regulatory obligations. This position will require strong collaboration with senior key stakeholders within the GT&O divisions and control functions across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of APAC regulations relating to technology, with a focus on Southeast Asia.
  • Actively engage relevant stakeholders and proactively support key tasks relating to regulatory exam and issue management, regulatory mandated assessments and changes, such as but not limited to the following:
    • Manage exam life-cycle with timely notification to exam stakeholders on key issues;
    • Ensure end-to-end protocol management of regulatory issues;
    • Maintain inventory of regulatory mandated assessments, oversee and support the completion of assessments, and escalate delays or exceptions;
    • Keep abreast of relevant regulatory changes, oversee the completion of regulatory change impact assessments, and escalate delays or exceptions
  • Provide oversight and support tasks relating to future outsourcing strategy and activities
  • Act as an ambassador of the risk culture

Key Requirements

  • Good understanding of regulatory risk management and technology regulations preferred
  • Relevant experience in executing key noted responsibilities above within an ops risk, compliance functions
  • Experience in leading programs for proactive identification of regulatory risk exposure and potential non-compliant areas
  • Information technology/systems, risk management, banking operations, finance or equivalent experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence managers across the organisation
  • Strong excel and power point skills
