Position Overview:
As a Vice President in Corporate Banking at Bank of America, you will play a critical role in driving growth of the Australian corporate banking business. You will oversee the development and execution of customized financial solutions, ensuring the delivery of superior banking services while managing risk and compliance. Your role will require strategic thinking, strong corporate finance skills, and a deep understanding of corporate banking products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with corporate clients to understand their business objectives and provide tailored financial solutions. Identify new business opportunities, including cross-selling Bank of America’s suite of corporate banking products. Develop strategies to grow your client base and deepen existing relationships.
- Financial Solutions: Design and implement comprehensive banking solutions that meet the specific needs of clients, including working capital financing, credit solutions, treasury management, and international banking services.
- Corporate Finance: Preparation of corporate finance pitches to provide analysis on optimal debt structures, credit ratings and debt capacity. This will involve developing financial models with the Analysts and Associates within the team
- Team Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, risk, and operations, to ensure the seamless delivery of services. Mentor and develop junior bankers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes. Use this knowledge to provide valuable insights to clients and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
- Risk Management: Ensure all transactions and financial solutions comply with Bank of America’s risk management policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Work closely with the risk and compliance teams to mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in corporate banking, commercial lending, or related financial services
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of corporate banking products and services, including credit, treasury management, and commercial lending.
- Strong legal documentation with the ability to lead and negotiate documentation with clients and internal risk and legal partners
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess and manage financial risk, with a strong understanding of credit analysis and underwriting.
- Proficient in financial modeling, reporting, and using banking software platforms.
