Job Description:

The Global Renewable Energy Credit Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the ongoing credit administration, monitoring, review, and analysis for a designated portfolio of tax equity (e.g., distributed generation solar, fuel cell, EV, storage) and debt project financings originated by the Global Sustainable Finance Group. The Portfolio Manager may also be involved in the execution of tranche fundings of closed tax equity and project finance transactions. 

A key element of the Portfolio Management role will be ongoing credit responsibility for a designated portfolio of tax equity, debt project and structured financings. This will include the preparation of periodic status reviews documents and risk rating scorecards. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager will be familiar with and adhere to the transaction management and monitoring requirements outlined in Bank of America’s Credit Policy and guidelines.The Portfolio Manager will provide timely responses to inquiries on the portfolio from senior credit and risk management team members.

In executing these duties, the Portfolio Manager will interact with Originators, Credit Underwriting, Risk Management, Engineering Support,  Modelling and Legal officers as needed. The Portfolio Manager will also have significant interaction with our clients in the context of routine administration and project/financial performance discussions, as well as to address any credit or technical issues that may develop with individual transactions or projects.    These interactions may include the review and negotiation of potential transaction document modifications or transaction restructurings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs periodic project performance and financial reviews of transactions.
  • Prepares and writes periodic status reviews and update risk rating scorecards.
  • Evaluates and processes project related consent requests (e.g., amendments, waivers, extensions) from clients.
  • Monitors the credit profile of key transaction counterparties (e.g. borrowers, off-takers, project sponsors and servicers). 
  • Ensures compliance with the terms of and reporting requirements of transaction agreements
  • Provides timely responses to inquiries on the portfolio from senior credit and risk management team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in banking or finance industry in corporate credit, tax equity, project finance and/or renewable energy.
  • Ability to review, understand and interpret legal documentation of complex transactions and their impact on credit exposure.
  • Ability to work efficiently and productively on multiple transactions or tasks at one time.
  • Results oriented, and able to keep track of and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively and build relationships with internal and external clients and partners
  • Ability to independently lead diligence efforts, make approval recommendations, and execute timely funding.
  • Computer skills: proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

New York pay range:

$66,900.00 - $167,200.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
