Role Description:
A new opportunity has become available for a Legal Entity Controller to join the Finance team based in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Finance manager is a CMA registered role and is supported by the Finance team in the UAE. This is a financial control role with elements of product control (Equities) along with regulatory and financial reporting and tax compliance. You will also take ownership for all Finance related issues relating to MLKSA and will work within the MENA finance team as a whole to develop knowledge share and provide appropriate levels of cover.
Responsibilities:
Preparing month end close Journals in Oracle Cloud General Ledger
Preparing monthly commentary on BS and PL variances for both local IFRS reporting and US GAAP
Preparing MLKSA’s CMA Prudential Returns
Preparation of Financial Statements, working with Accounting Policy, presenting to the MLKSA Board.
Support internal and external audits
Review of Trading PL, including reconciliation to GL, sign offs in the PL control tool, and proactive resolution of breaks
Obtaining Vendor Management approval on engagement letters
VAT, WHT & CIT Compliance. Including leading tax inspections and appeals, e-Invoicing and Contracts Information Filing
Completing and evidencing controls the monthly Supervisory Review
Update and maintain Finance procedures and Intercompany agreements
What we are looking for:
Saudi national
Qualified Accountant
Excellent Excel skills
Proven finance/management accounting experience
Fluency in English and Arabic is essential
Previous experience within a CMA regulated firm
Training with a major public accounting firm would be an advantage
