Executive Recruiter, Merrill Wealth Management

As an Executive Recruiter for Merrill Wealth Management you will be an integral part of implementing the strategic vision by creating strategies that identify, attract, engage and secure top talent in the Wealth Management industry.  As a member of the Executive Recruiting team you will create proactive, high-touch approaches that build diverse talent networks and create brand awareness in the external talent community. You will work with the Merrill leadership team to connect with talented individuals whose expertise and experiences will influence and support Merrill’s talent strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Drive recruiting efforts for senior internal and external talent for Merrill Wealth Management & Investment Solution Group

  • Create an informed, consultative talent strategy based on targeted research, industry/market and candidate data

  • Identify, attract, engage and secure top talent

  • Partner with executives and HR partners to determine current and future executive talent acquisition needs

  • Build robust, diverse candidate slates

  • Develop influential partnerships with hiring managers, internal recruiting partners, and business partners

  • Communicate and collaborate with business partners and stakeholders across the company

  • Work closely with business executives, HR Executive and peers to map target companies organizational structures

  • Develop and negotiate complex competitive offer packages

  • Adhere guide and educate business leaders and partners on Talent Acquisition process and applicable laws

  • Uphold strict confidentiality specific to talent planning, succession planning and organizational design

  • Establish effective executive search methodologies and best practices

Required Skills

  • 5-7 years professional level recruiting managing search and selection process for executive level roles

  • Strong understanding of current competitive talent landscape

  • Demonstrated experience understanding executive compensation appropriately competitive offers

  • Proven ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, facilitation, client service orientation, leadership

  • Demonstrated expertise in development of sourcing strategies and cold calling

  • Strong client management experience with solid credibility, presence and the ability to influence executives and provide consultative services

  • Experience providing fact based and candid assessments of talent and making clear recommendations

  • Use of innovative techniques to meet the staffing needs of the business while taking a broad perspective on strategic sourcing to meet workforce needs

  • Proven experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously, strong prioritization/time management skills, self-directed/result-oriented

  • Demonstrates flexibility and thrives in a fast-paced, action oriented environment; ability to juggle long term goals and short-term deliverables

  • Previous experience developing concise and effective presentations

  • Strong communication (both written and oral) skills

  • Must maintain and exude strong sense of urgency and integrity

Desired Skills  

  • Current executive level recruiting experience in the Wealth Management industry

  • Previous leadership experience

  • BA/BS degree in business, communications, human resources or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience

Independently manages the search and selection process for professional, sales and management, technical, and other niche skill positions. Manages the full lifecycle of staffing processes; to include networking and pipelining. Engages and leverages business partners, such as Hiring Managers, Human Resource Managers, and Leadership Development to achieve results and deliver on Staffing plans. Individual contributor role with 3-5+ years of recruiting experience.

Independently manages the search and selection process for professional, sales and management, technical, and other niche skill positions. Manages the full lifecycle of staffing processes; to include networking and pipelining.
