Business Support Manager II - GHR, Global Talent

Job Description:

The Global Talent team (formerly Leadership Development) in GHR is responsible for all leadership and manager programs, employee engagement survey, performance assessments and talent management capabilities.

The Business Support Manager (BSM) will be a highly visible and hands on execution leader providing Business and Project Management expertise for the head of Global Talent and the broader organization. The successful candidate will be a strong, decisive, results oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across businesses and regions with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge.  The individual should possess a very high attention to detail and demonstrable accuracy of work product, as frequently their work output will be used by senior executives of Global Talent and HR leadership team globally.  Strong project management, written communications, advanced analytical skills and creative and effective executive presentations are also essential core requirements for the position. 

The following details specific responsibilities for this critical role:

  • Project manage all enterprise wide presentation, updates and data requests.
  • Integration with Finance and HR – financial control/budgeting and consolidation, headcount planning and approval process, etc.
  • Leads business management functions including: communications, location strategy, engagement/D&I, compliance, talent planning, etc.
  • Manages and plans executive management routines, annual leadership and team offsites  (e.g. agenda, content, prep, etc.).
  • Execution of workforce operations, including SOW approvals, Executive Onboarding/offboarding, third party management, etc.
  • Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements.

Enterprise Owned Job Profile: Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or for a complete line of business that may be regional or national in scope, often requiring associates in one or more location. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business units functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. Generally has full management responsibility over a relatively large team and may manage one or more levels of managers.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years relevant HR or business support; broad understanding of the various facets of HR a plus
  • MUST have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • MUST have strong project management skills
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work with a variety of senior level business partners and stake holders
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations and rapidly changing priorities with an ability to quickly resolve issues and deliver on expectations
  • Ability to think proactively and prioritize requests and workload accordingly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Know how to use data/reports to drive tactical improvement and/or to communicate the business story
  • Excellent relationship and communication (e.g., verbal, written and presentation) skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of banking industry preferred
  • Experience working across regions
  • Ability to use data and reports to identify innovative solutions
